✦ Anti-Fraud Policy

Anti-Fraud Policy

Our zero-tolerance approach to fraudulent activity.

1. Our Position

NextBeat Entertainment has a zero-tolerance policy for fraudulent activity. Streaming manipulation harms the entire independent music ecosystem — it dilutes royalty pools, reduces trust with DSPs, and steals from honest artists. This policy describes what we consider fraud and the actions we take.

2. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Artificial streams, plays, or downloads generated by bots, scripts, or click farms
  • Buying streams, plays, follows, or playlist placements from third parties
  • Stream manipulation services or “stream pumping”
  • Coordinated inauthentic behavior (e.g., bot networks)
  • Uploading silent tracks, white noise, or “tracks” engineered to game DSP algorithms (e.g., 30-second loops with no musical content)
  • Uploading content that is not yours or that you do not have rights to distribute
  • Re-uploading content previously taken down by a DSP for fraud or policy violation
  • Misrepresenting metadata (artist name, songwriters, ISRCs) to deceive DSPs or royalty collection societies
  • Identity fraud or impersonating another artist
  • Royalty or chargeback fraud

3. How We Detect Fraud

  • Automated monitoring of stream patterns and geographic anomalies
  • DSP fraud reports and royalty deductions
  • Identity verification (KYC) at signup and during high-value transactions
  • Manual review by our Trust & Safety team
  • Tips and reports from the artist community

4. Consequences of Fraud

When fraud is detected or suspected, we may take any or all of the following actions without prior notice:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of your account
  • Takedown of all your content from DSPs
  • Withholding or forfeiture of pending and unpaid royalties
  • Reporting to DSPs, payment processors, and law enforcement
  • Permanent ban from creating new accounts
  • Recovery of fraudulently obtained royalties through legal action

5. Appeals

If your account has been actioned and you believe this was in error, you may appeal by emailing [email protected] within 30 days. Provide your account details and any evidence supporting your appeal. We will review and respond within 10 business days. Decisions are made at our sole discretion.

6. Reporting Fraud

Have you witnessed streaming fraud or content theft? Please report it confidentially:

Email: [email protected]

We protect the identity of good-faith reporters.

7. Cooperation with Authorities

We cooperate fully with DSPs, royalty societies, payment processors, and law enforcement on fraud investigations. We may disclose user information when required by law or when necessary to protect the integrity of the Service.
